Walking on Mother’s Day

by Sasha Kasoff

There are plenty of treasures in the world

Expensive, rare, lifeless things

And some would try to tell you

These things are what life is about

But it isn't the same as being loved

Nothing is worth more

Than a walk in the sunshine

Through flowering fields

With someone you love

May I never take such things for granted

Never wish for more than love
