In the Thrall of the Raven Queen

In a swirl of a thousand dangers
where dark becomes temptation
desires become real
black birds wait for when
resistance to beauty fails
a face begs my smile
like a lighthouse beam
in the storm
says here lies destruction
I am a sailor doomed
I want to stroke her cheek
feel her hand caress my skin
join her dance
when the ravens take my eyes
I will remember
why
