Locked in the cloud

by D.M ADERIBIGBE

I sit in the midst of the sward, on a field near Grandma's house, facing the clouds. My gaze Points fingers, accusing fingers to heaven. I stare more into the clouds, trying to dig God out, out Of the white solids he covers himself with. My attention is stolen like a steep jewelry by Two birds, brown feathered like burnt eggs, Locked in a playful war, In a competition to know which wings are more efficacious, My obsession locked in my fascination, my fascination Locked with the birds in the sky. For an hour, I forget myself in the cloud.
